The area of business that interests me is supply chain and logistics. Sweden, where I am going, is home to a whole host of high-end manufacturing firms, each with their own global supply chain network. I think it would be really useful to perhaps tour these industrial facilities to get a feel for how the highly competitive Swedish firms organize and operate.
Additionally, I think it would be beneficial to get a feel for the basics of Swedish and Scandinavian business culture. Down the road, you never know when that knowledge might come in handy. Networking through informational interviews could provide crucial insights.
There is ample opportunity for personal education and professional development in Sweden.
